(but if you're bad, you'll die when die)
Because I am bad lazy blogger, the two posts I've been putting off for sometime are getting combined into one. So, in the following, you'll get to see pictures of both my new haircut and my totally-awesome-not-remotely-lame Halloween costume. Just click the cut beneath the two preview photos below!

So, hair first. I got this done in the first week of October. The hairdresser I went to was excellent. He's local, but very good for a small town stylist. I went in and was like: "just give me something funky, but let me cry while you do it." And he had a blast. He actually drew a sketch of the haircut he wanted to give me to see if I approved. I kept it and taped it into my RL journal.
Here is what it looked liked immediately after being cut (hairdresser's styling job, not mine):
It has grown a bit since then, but not much, and I usually keep it styled something like this. It is actually very easy: wash it at night, spray in root booster, rub in pomade, go to bed with it wet, and then quickly flat iron it in the morning. This is the general result:
One thing I love about my short hair is that it is so easy to have fun with hair accessories. I wear a lot of headbands now, and that sort of thing. I've fauxhawked it a few times (though I sadly don't have any pictures) and that has been mega-fun. I've also taken to wearing a variety of cute hats. This one's my favourite:
Alright, onto Halloween. I've gotta wrap this entry up and get back to work, so I will keep this short: HALLOWEEN FUCKIN' ROCKED, BITCHES. Best one I've had in years. I put a shitload of effort into my costume, and it seriously paid off. Danielle, Leah, Andy and I went to the Pub and the Inn for drunken dancing. Great fun.
Here's some snaps of the costume. At the bottom, I give an approximate breakdown of how much this cost me, and a list of all the pieces included in it.
Resting between sets of croquet.
Croquet!
Now I wonder...what could be in here?

The hair, though, I haven't gotten a chance to comment on, so: KDHDSKDSA!
Holy shit, I love it. It's fucking AWESOME. Again, there's a certain stylish fierceness, but in a much slicker/cooler way than is usual. You still look gorgeously feminine.
"just give me something funky, but let me cry while you do it."
hahah, i love you. When I cut off my super long hair, I was in hysterics, but that was a bad time, anyway--just me and the mirror and the scissors and my sadness. But later, when I went from shoulder length to boy short, the poor girl who was cutting it was so freaked out--I was just like DO IT DO IT DO IT I HAVE KNOWN HAIR PAIN AND I SHALL SURVIIIIVE.
And she was all, "just don't cry! i hate it when they cry! half the time i end up crying!"
which was adorable.
All of this said, you are so much better at this girl thing than I am. I just roll out of bed, squint at my hair, and, at most, mush gel on it at random before walking out the door. The fauxhawk days are more work, but those are hawk days, so. I wonder what my hair would look like if I tried it your way? Hm. I no longer have a flat iron, though.
ALSO, holy shit, I'd not really gotten your Halloween price break down before. AMAAAAZING. Well done, you.
This year I just wore normal clothes and used make up I had, hahah. But I often end up blowing $150-ish on Halloween and I'm always like goddaaaaamn, that was expensive. :)
And I think I've already told you this, but I love that hat!
IN CONCLUSION: ILU~!
